I would try it at your shop before trying it at a customers place it can be a little tricky until you really get the feel of it.

Yes, of course. There are a plethora of systems that allow you to view your cameras via a smartphone. I suggest you look up cctv in any of the smartphone app stores and you will see a long list of available systems that provide this capability.
