We are currently designing to install this system for a client;

CCTV - 64 x cameras

Access Control - 45 x access points

Intruder Detection - 96 x infra-red detectors, 10 x panic inputs

Fire Detection - 70 x photo-electric detectors

Fire Suppresion - 1 x gas discharge system for server room only

Would an intergrated system work better or would we rather have each system as stand-alone? Suggestions most welcome!

Very good question with no real correct answer. What are your customers needs? Integration systems for the most part are more expensive. Usually but not always, there is a license fee per module, and not all features are are available because of the vast amount of systems they try to integrate with. Under most circumstances using the native software or hardware is going to be sufficient and even better because the software or system is designed for the application. Now there are circumstances where integration may make sense but once again it depends on what your customers needs are. Having a one system scenario can be a nightmare and all your service issues will be narrowed down to one system. This may sound like I am against integration systems. This is far from true. I like being truthful when being asked an opinion. The more information you provide the better I feel we can help you.
